Torres Out For Three Weeks

Ed Colenutt, November 27th 2008

Fernando Torres faces a short spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury in last night's 1-0 victory over Marseille. Torres underwent a scan at Melwood today after picking up a hamstring injury during the game at Anfield.

A club spokesman confirmed: "Fernando has a strain in his right hamstring and will be out of action for between two and three weeks."

Fabio Aurelio was substituted at half time during the Champions League tie, and a scan has confirmed that he will be missing for the next couple of weeks too.

"Fabio has a calf strain in his left leg and will be out for two weeks."
